Owner David L Gash started out as a painting contractor in the San Diego area, founding his first company, Gold Coast Design in 1993. Still in existence today, Mr. Gash built Gold Coast Design into a thriving home improvement and commercial contracting business. Painting an average of over 300 homes a year in Southern California, and refurbishing up to 5,000 hotel rooms annually for the Marriot and Hyatt Hotel chains nationwide, Mr. Gash has built a reputation for completing large projects at a rapid pace, while still maintaining a high standard of quality workmanship.

Gold Coast Renovations was incorporated in 2004 to meet the high demand in San Diego’s booming real estate market which was in need of a general contractor specializing in renovating aging multi-family apartment complexes into modern condominiums.

With a combined total of over 25 years of nationwide hotel renovation and local home remodeling experience, the Gold Coast Management Team seamlessly transitioned into multi-family, production-style renovations and general construction.

Since inception, GCR has completed construction on over 40 apartment-to-condo conversion projects, consisting of over 1,000 units, in Northern and Southern California. Other GCR projects include ground-up custom home building, kitchen and bath remodeling and commercial tenant improvements.

GCR is committed to delivering projects on-time and on-budget, while still producing a high quality finished product. The GCR team takes great pride in adhering to aggressive construction schedules and producing results that are a cut above the competition.
